Who we are
StructureSense was built on a simple belief: a home is a living system, and it deserves to be understood with the same care and attention we give to the people who live inside it. I don’t approach a house as a checklist or a collection of parts. I read it — its behavior, its pressures, its patterns, and the quiet ways it tries to communicate when something isn’t right.
I’ve been walking through homes and structures my entire life, studying how they’re built, how they age, and where they tend to fail. Long before StructureSense existed, I was examining stair treads, foundations, framing, airflow, and the subtle signs that something was off. That lifelong habit of noticing — of paying attention — is the foundation of my work today.
I use tools, but I don’t rely on them. They’re there to verify what I already sense, to double‑check a pattern I’ve observed, or to confirm a behavior I’ve already read in the structure. Tools help me measure; they don’t replace perception. My primary instrument is presence — the ability to see how a home is behaving and understand why.
I’m not an inspector, an engineer, or a contractor. I’m a steward. My job is to help you understand what your home is doing, why it’s doing it, and what needs to happen next — without fear, pressure, or sales agendas. Just honesty, intelligence, and care.
StructureSense exists for homeowners who want more than a report. It exists for people who want to feel grounded, informed, and supported as they make decisions about the place they live. When I’m in your home, you get my full attention, my full perception, and my commitment to help you see clearly.
